Anti Ageing Diet


Ageing is a natural process which every individual undergo after a certain age . Symptoms of ageing are , appearance of wrinkles, memory loss , decrease in functioning of many organs and other psychological problems. With ageing  people become more prone  to health problems such as osteoporosis, heart diseases, renal failure and cancer. Ageing is delayed by with a good dietary schedule and healthy lifestyle which includes  proper rest too.

Food  rich in antioxidants and phyto nutrients helps  in delaying ageing. Green, yellow, red and orange fruits and vegetables are a rich source of antioxidants.

Flavonoids are powerful antioxidants, which are found in  blueberries, black grapes, currants and blueberries. It helps in the scavenging of free radicals, thereby delaying the onset of ageing.

Green Tea is also good source of antioxidant .Vitamin E and monounsaturated fats in avocado, helps in the maintenance of healthy skin.

Ginger is known for its digestive properties, it also helps  in the alleviation of pain and aches.

Nuts are good sources of selenium, which eliminates free radicals. It is also an excellent source of magnesium, potassium, copper, zinc and iron.

Soya and fermented soy products are rich source of protein and are also useful in the maintenance of estrogen levels.

Cruciferous vegetables help in the elimination of toxins and the intact enzymes prove beneficial. Some of the commonly found cruciferous vegetables are turnip, watercress, Brussels sprouts, kale, cabbage, radish and cauliflower.

Sea foods such as fish, taken twice a day prove helpful, as they are an excellent source of omega 3 fatty acids.

Including   anti inflammatory food in daily diet also aids to fight ageing such as green vegetables, sprouts, hot pepper, barley, onion, shallots and chives, beans and lentils and Buckwheat.

Yoghurt intake is helpful for a healthy intestine. Legumes are also a good source of nutrients with lesser calories.

Water is an integral part of a healthy diet .At least eight to ten glasses of water intake is recommended each day.  Fresh fruit juices, skimmed milk, coconut water, barley water etc are also good for health.
