Diet for healthy eyes and good vision

Eyes  are one of the  most important  organ of our body . With a healthy diet and proper normal excercises we can prevent  several eye diseases and other problems related to eyes and even improve our vision .

fruitsVitamin A intake  is very vital for healthy eyes. Vitamin A can be found in vegetables such as carrots, broccoli, sweet potatoes, and spinach.

The other vitamin that is crucial for good vision is Vitamin C. It can, for example, prevent you from getting a cataract and other eye leafy-vegetables for eyesdiseases.

Omega 3 fatty acids are also of high importance for healthy vision and it can be found in salmon, mackerel, flaxseed, and walnuts.

Lutein and zeaxanthin are deposited in the eyes and act as antioxidants. It helps in neutralising free radicals which can cause damage to eyes. It helps to prevent cataract and is known to act as natural sunglasses. Lutein and zeaxanthin are often found together in spinach , squash, kiwi fruit, Brussels sprouts,  kale , mango , melon , prunes, green beans, sweetcorn, peas, oranges ,peaches, sweet potatoes, dark green lettuce ,broccoli , grapes, papaya , pumpkin & orange peppers     .
